HARTFORD, Conn. -- A protest will be held in Hartford Friday to call for an end to immigration raids in Connecticut.

More than 30 illegal immigrants have been taken into custody since June in the New Haven area.

It all happened after the city announced it would give out municipal identification cards to all residents including those living there illegally.

Community activists said they will demand the release of the detainees Friday morning at 8 a.m. in front of immigration court.
