County Commission discusses border patrol station at GFK
When Michael Huntress unveiled plans Tuesday for a 34,000-square-foot U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine border patrol station at Grand Forks International Airport to be built this year, Grand Forks County Commissioner Gary Malm offered two pieces of advice.

When Michael Huntress unveiled plans Tuesday for a 34,000-square-foot U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine border patrol station at Grand Forks International Airport to be built this year, Grand Forks County Commissioner Gary Malm offered two pieces of advice.
- A construction time line of mid-June to December might be a bit optimistic.
- The greenery pictured in an artist’s conception — a colorful landscape of mature trees and shrubbery — could present the developer with some challenges in an area known for its alkaline soils.
