Let's hope that Repubs, at least, stop panicking about amnesty. A large majority of Latinos are going to vote Democrat, no matter what Repubs do about amnesty. So unless Repubs insist on committing political suicide, they would be well advised to adopt a policy of Jobs for Americans.

Focusing on jobs should resonate with unemployed Americans - especially those unemployed for more than six months - and Americans who are looking at getting their first job. Those who are rushing toward amnesty can be branded as not caring about Americans.
