I guess this is why we "must" allow Mexican trucks into the US, huh? So we can get those great Mexican products!

Won't Hershey have to change their slogan now? It was "The great American chocolate bar".

    Not anymore.

Hershey not the only dissappointment. A couple days ago I went to wal-mart to buy a garden rake. Some dummy (me) ran over mine and broke the handle. I saw a ames-true temper rake there for under 10.00. Ames is one of america's oldest tool companys started in 1774. True temper began in the 1800's and both companys had a reputation for quality rakes, hoes shovels ect. They merged several years back so I thought I was getting a good deal. That is untill I got home then I noticed the sticker - Made in China.

vic.....sounds like my made in the USA fan....that had Made in China stamped on it....what?....BOX made in USA?

Does anyone remember why WalMart GOT SO FAMOUS? When WalMart first got famous.....it was known as a MADE IN THE USA store. You couldn't go into Wal-Mart and find a foreign made product. Now it's "Anything BUT the USA'. store.

Remember when Kathi-lee Gifford was raked through the coals when they found out our "made in USA' labels were from foreign labor?

I remember the war with Kodak and FUGI film.

Uh...all the jobs here are being taken by illegals and 'blah-blah' visa holders. Plus all of the 'American' companys are moving to Mexico and China and ?. Uh, are we ALL self-employed and unemployed?

This REALLY makes me sad!!! One of my favorite movies of all time was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory....guess it will be changed to Carlos and the Chocolata Factoria.

I remember the scare our kids got last Halloween because there was some tainted candy from MEXICO being passed out....how can the corporate whores do this to one of our most beloved American companies???? I will never buy Hershey's or anything else made in Mexico...ever! I hope they lose their shirts!!!

    ....bet it won't be cheaper
The product will be manufactured cheaper. Less hourly rate and benefits to the workers, less expensive plant to set up and maintain, essentially no worker protection programs or environmental standards to meet, product ingredients and health/safety standards will be at the discretion of Hershey because of limited to no regulatory oversight, no tariffs on importing the product into the U.S. thanks to NAFTA, and shipping via Mexican trucks with Mexican drivers into all U.S. markets thanks to SPP. The product will be manufactured at a far less cost but, of course, it will be just as expensive and all that extra profit will go to the CEO and the chosen few.
