    indica News Bureau-

Uncertainty over immigration and citizenship policies in the US during Donald Trump administration’s is causing Indians living in the US to rush to get citizenship ASAP. With the upcoming elections in the country, that adds to the dilemma and builds pressure on the immigrants, they wish to be naturalized in the country before the elections. Immigrants experts said that the rush is being caused mostly because of the uncertainty -that also makes green card holders vulnerable and because of the fact that the immigrants wish to vote in the upcoming elections.

Based on the data obtained from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), The Times of India reported that as many as 840,000 immigrants were given the American citizenship, an eleven-year high, and a rise of 9.5% over the previous year, in the fiscal year 2019 (till September 30, 2019).

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), in a press release, added that 577,000 individuals were granted lawful permanent residence in the form of green cards—which, compared with fiscal 2018, shows a sharp fall of 47.4%.

Out of these, number of Indians who got US citizenship in FY18 At 52,194 India-born individuals were the second largest group to be granted US citizenship in fiscal 2018, according to another report released by the US Department of Homeland Security which provides country-of-birth data. They constituted 6.9% of the total number of new citizens and reflected a rise of 2.7% over the previous year.

The largest group continued to be from Mexico with just over 130,000 individuals getting US citizenship. With over 52,000 individuals, India came at the second spot and Chinese stood at third spot with a total of 39,600.

Say hello to Tarbash and Saboo your new tech support guys. They will be trained by the same Americans they replace for cheap corporate labor. They will also learn how to use a toilet and shower for the first time. You see this is their country now. Thank you Mr Corn Hair. MIGA Make India Great Again.
