Intruder killed in home invasion had criminal history

A man fatally shot by a wounded resident in a home invasion has been identified by Tucson police as a man convicted in a 1996 robbery here, a state Department of Corrections Web site shows.
Carlos Ramirez Valenzuela, 34, a Mexican citizen, was among at least three men who burst into a Little Town-area home Thursday looking to steal drugs, Sgt. Fabian Pacheco said.
Valenzuela and the others are believed to have targeted the wrong home, ending up confronting a man with his 2-year-old daughter, the police spokesman said.
In an ensuing gunbattle, the homeowner was wounded in the arm and Valenzuela was killed, Pacheco said.
The homeowner, whom police have neither charged nor publicly identified, was taken to a hospital for treatment of his wound. His daughter was not injured, Pacheco said.
When police arrived at the home on East Sanderling Drive last week, officers found Valenzuela lying dead in the house.
The other suspects still are being sought, Pacheco said.
He said an investigation has shown no evidence the homeowner was involved in any criminal activity.
Valenzuela's name was withheld by police until Monday so that relatives could be found and told of his death, police spokesman Officer Frank Amado said.
According to the Department of Corrections Web site, Valenzuela was deportable after serving at least half of his 10-year sentence in the '96 robbery.
He was was released from prison in March 2005 after serving time for armed robbery and attempted armed robbery convictions in Pima County, according to the Web site. It does not show if he was credited with time served in jail while awaiting trial or whether any action was taken to deport him after his release.
Information on Valenzuela's residency status here was not immediately available from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Phoenix.

The suspect was either an illegal alien or a legal alien with a visa that was revoked after the first crimes.

However, they did not deport him as they should have after the first serious crimes. Like hundreds of thousands of illegal alien felons they have let just walk out of US prisons without deportation.

There are people in high places that deserve prosecution and imprisonment for crimes against the people of America over these policies.

These are the types of articles, along with the bus accident and the illegal that was let go a week later just like the one that killed those kids, that need to be emailed and faxed to our representatives each week. We need to send them to our own reps and to those who support us to give them ammunition like Jeff Sessions.
