Sheldon man charged with identity theft

HOSPERS, Iowa -- A Sheldon, Iowa, man was charged with identity theft Tuesday, after using another person's Social Security number to gain employment.

At 7:17 p.m. the Sioux County Sheriff's Office arrested Abizue Tinoco-Arellano, 21, on charges of identity theft, a class D felony, and possession of a false identification card, a serious misdemeanor.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff's Office, the investigation began during a traffic stop near Hospers, Iowa. The sheriff's office said in a statement that Tinoco-Arellano, allegedly used the Social Security number of another person to gain employment at Premium Iowa Pork, located in Hospers. The sheriff's office also said that Tinoco-Arellano was in possession of a false identification card.
