Monday, 16 June 2008
A Jamaican is among 10 foreigners placed on the United States' (US') Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Most Wanted Criminal Alien list.

The enforcement agency said Calvin Anthony Inswood, 46, is wanted for several crimes including robbery, assault, weapons possession, disorderly conduct, and assault.

ICE said Mr. Inswood, the only Caribbean national on its list, was last seen in Brooklyn, New York, in 1994.

The ICE's Most Wanted Criminal Aliens list first unveiled on May 14 2003, features felons from around the globe who committed serious crimes in the US and served prison terms.

The immigration agency said each of these criminal aliens have been issued orders of removal, commonly referred to as deportation orders, but have eluded law enforcement.

The agency said they continue to pose a threat to public safety.
