Our Chatham County Commsoiners Just Banned Any ICE Programs!

This resolutoin was passe without any public input and passed with support from those outside our County like ACLU, Hispanic organizations. Good grief, who's running our county? Sheriff Webster and the commissioners got support for the resolutoin via our new human relations dept for the County. Please help us get this resolutoin reversed. I am a citizen of Chatahm county North Carolina and live in Pittsboro NC. We need help. We have a liberal democratic local governments that has thier own agenda without getting any public input from its citizens. Our local newspaper allowed the Commissioners and Sherriff Webster of all the reasons "not" to have any particpation with the 287 g program, all were half truths, separating families, needing to build a new jail, will cost Chatham county residents more tax dollars, ect, ect. Commissioners said we couldn't even participate in the 287 g program if we wanted too. I'm not buying it. I say follow the money trail. I've never heard of a county passing a resolutoin so specifically "not" to participate in a government program. This resolutoin also came out of know where, with no warning.

    WELCOME!!!
Sorry to hear that randynurse. My whole state of Maine is going to reverse the secure licenses rules that went into effect just 2-months ago!!!
I spent yesterday writing hate mail. This morning I spent writing them all calmer versions and apologizing for my shock and frustration.....

I agree, we have a lot of chicken plants and farming here. They all claim it's work US citizens do not want to do it, but bottom line is the American workers just got replaced with lower wage workers, Americans are not afraid to get their hands dirty and plenty of folks looking fir work

    Good folks,

No matter where you stand on the ICE Resolution issue, your voice deserves to be heard! The Chatham County Commissioners insist that this process was open. Then why didn't any of us hear about it?

Please attend the Commissioner meeting the evening of Feb 16th and demand that the County Commissioners hold a public hearing on this resolution. They think we are done now and will go away.

Adding insult to injury, the Commissioners have now issue AWARDS for this resolution creation!

If you weren't mad before - you are bound to be. When you see the awards list - a who's who of liberal activism in our county. See this:

I'll update on the Commissioner's meeting time and place, they went to a different schedule, wondering if they are trying to confuse us, just kidding. But as now the meeting is still on the 16th.
