Thread: Joining military to get citizenship - there are easier ways

I have read stories about illegals in the military - just stories now - and there was a BP agent who was an illegal and an ex-navy man - so illegals manage to get in - they get into everything and anything.

Also, ever so often you hear people say to just let the illegals in the military - or start the draft and draft them.

Not a good idea in my books.

But it would certainly depend on the legal immigrant - but I just don't want our military to end up being heavy with people not born in, not familiar with America - for the reasons I have stated. It has nothing to do with prejudice - against immigrants.

Before 9-11 illegals were able to join the military and get their residency but that has changed.

I am not talking legally - and don't know what the rules are. I am talking reality. The illegals can get in anywhere they want - and there has been some suggestions they get to serve in the military. I thought that was mentioned in the Dream Act.?
