On Friday, members of the Brazilian community celebrated their Independence Day.
It’s an important day to many in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and beyond.
Every year, Brazilian Day, as it is known in New York, galvanizes pride with a festival of more than a million people who sing the national anthem on Sixth Avenue.
On the same date, house cleaner Rosangela Nascimento, 53, of Nashua, flew back to Brazil after 15 years living in the city. Nascimento said she was missing her family and wanted to return home.
She has never seen her three grandsons and has been separated from three sons for 11 years.
Her long hours cleaning 25 homes in the Nashua region – at least 11 of those each week – have provided her with two homes and a small minimarket in Minas Geris, Brazil.
Fausto da Rocha, executive director for the Brazilian Immigrant Center, said Nascimento is among a growing number of people leaving the U.S. to return home, but she’s also an exception because she did not leave out of fear.

That american dream can become their worst nightmare if they are here illegally. They live with the fear that you might be caught and deported and it does not matter how long they have been here. I would not want to live with that kind of fear.

Well, I have a different definition of fear. How about fear in your own country when you haven't broken any laws? Fear of your country being destroyed by unchecked massive illegal immigration. Fear of the most vicious unchecked gangs and criminals moving into your neighborhood. Fear of unsafe mexican trucks on our highways. Fear of a government that has betrayed it's own people. Fear because you know too many people who have lost their jobs and are having a hard time finding work, while more and more jobs are shipped offshore or more illegals are allowed in to replace workers and drive down wages. I don't think these people understand fear at all. What are they going to get out of a raid, a slap on the wrist and released?

Yes, very well put. What is going to happen to them.
Nothing. And their country is NOT be overrun and the
national identity being changed. They still have
something they call a "homeland". What do we in the
USA have....the country of Babel and surrender to what
pc garbage is being pushed on us by the media.
