Juarez man charged with supplying area cocaine dealers (8:09 p.m.)

LAS CRUCES — A 23-Year old Juarez man was arrested Thursday for allegelly supplying cocaine to area drug dealers, police reported.

Carlos Nava was arrested outside a motorcycle shop in Sunland Park and charged with possession with intent to traffic, said Metro-Narcotics Sgt. Denis Romero. Romero said Nava was found with half a kilo of cocaine that has a street value of $576,000.

Nava's arrest was the result of an undercover operation by Metro-Narcotics, Romero said. Nava was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center. He is also being held on a Border Patrol hold for being in the country illegally.
