This is one of the things that infuriates me about this debate. How even people who want to redress this disastrous immigration policy accept the false, contrived notions perpetuated by the open borders machine-and dessiminated by the fifth columnists in the lamestream media-which has done almost as much to destroy the Constitution as the ACLU over the past century.

I don't know that we have to amend anything either, but I do think it is going to take a challenge to the Supreme Court to settle it.

It has been widely accepted or understood that is the interpretation and at some point in time, it will have to be addressed.

The one thing we can't do is be quiet about this while the other side keeps up their mantra of 'separating families'.

I am puzzled why the Puerto Rico Defense fund, etc. would be working for the illegal aliens. Puerto Ricans have citzenship, don't they?

Should we dare to hope that some are finally paying attention to the people ?

Yes, and they've had it for the better part of a century.

Puerto Rico is an ELA. Everyone born there is a United States citizen, which is why Dominicans and Cubans try to land there before going on to the U.S., pretending that they're Puerto Ricans.

    Shapka,

Actually there IS a right for illegals to get an education. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on this in 1982, and said it was illegal to DENY an education to illegal immigrant students.

One of the suckiest rulings the Supreme Court has ever ruled on. (Right up there with the emminent domain ruling, where individual ownership of property means squat these days). Wish we could get both overturned!!!
