Does this really tick off anyone else?

This just tweaks me to no end.

This judge at the very least should be brought up on charges of
aiding and abetting if not other things.

December 21, 2007 -- Illegal aliens can know the freedom of the open road in Westbury, LI, where a local judge yesterday tossed out a charge of driving without a license brought against an immigrant who is ineligible to obtain one.

Justice Thomas Liotti expects an appeal - but he hopes his decision will reopen discussion of Gov. Spitzer's failed proposal to give driver's licenses to illegal immigrants.

"These people have got to take driving tests," Liotti said in an interview. "Otherwise, they're out there in many cases without insurance.

"They get in accidents and everything else, and there's no protection for people who are lawfully on the roadways," he added, after finding in favor of defendant Rafael Quiroga Puma.

Liotti wrote that he is bothered by how the public has linked the idea of giving immigrants driver's licenses to immigration and national security.

"Instead of dealing with this issue as one concerning our highways, public officials have transformed this highly legitimate concern into a debate on flawed immigration policies," Liotti said.

Its always up to the Judge seems like a foolish thing, but I’m sure there is a loop hole the criminal climbed through.
Yes as far as I’m concerned they both commented a crime.
The judge for not doing his job and the criminal alien has many crimes he should have been charged with.

How about driving without a license = jail time???
cause an accident double the jail time...
drive without license and no insurance triple the jail time...
drive without license, no insurance, cause and accident, and flee the scene a manditory 5 years...

Can someone file a complaint against this judge for failing to follow the law ? (Doubt it would do much good, but it would register the public's displeasure.)

Is he serious?!?!? He thinks if we give them licenses, that they will actually obey laws and buy insurance? "These" people probably never drove, much less OWNED a car, in their home countries anyway and he wants them to get licenses?

A judges job is to apply the laws, NOT rule with his personal opinion! I don't give a rats assets about his opinions!

I'm waiting for other drivers who had their licenses taken away to file a civil suit against this town.
