It's comforting to know someone is watching this act done by Governor Spitzer. Don't forget the motor voter registration that will lead to voter fraud when these licenses are handed out to illegal immigrants. If this spreads you might as well let every foreign national vote in this country and effect our election outcomes and presidential elections. ( Talk about disenfranchised voters of all races who are American citizens). Can anyone say Federal crime!

Thank God for this Group. I am a resident of New York and am with the Majority of New Yorkers AGAINST rewarding ILLEGAL aliens with licenses. Unless you are here LEGALLY, you deserve no reward for the privelege of driving in New York or ANY state.

The Governor is ignoring state law, and along with this law suit, our state Government has also filed papers for a lawsuit.

Let us hope the NYS courts interpret NY law, because as far as I've seen the Governor is, in fact, breaking NY law by circumventing the political process and essentially ordering the DMV to allow this.

The Governor is trying to tell us that he will save us money on car insurance. Is he kidding? I pay $1100/year for auto insurance. He may want to look into why I pay $10,000/year in property taxes, have a 8.75% sales tax, why Long Island police make 6-figure salaries, and why school districts on Long Island rob us blind instead of trying to save me pennies a year on car insurance.
