    The government watchdog Judicial Watch has filed several Freedom of Information Act requests in the case of Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, who were sentenced to 11 and 12 years in prison in the shooting of a drug smuggler given immunity to testify against them.

    Judicial Watch Director of Research Chris Farrell told WND his group is seeking relevant records and communications from the State Department, several agencies within the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department, including the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas, which prosecuted the case.

    (Story continues below)

    Judicial Watch requests information concerning:

    *

    Drug smuggler Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila.

    * Any U.S. government "deals" with Aldrete-Davila.

    * U.S. government communications with the Mexican government concerning Aldrete-Davila and/or the prosecution of Ramos and Compean.

    * The participation of U.S. government personnel in coordinating, facilitating and/or approving the lawful entry or entries of Aldrete-Davila into the U.S.

    * The terms and conditions permitting Aldrete-Davila to lawfully enter the U.S.

    Judicial Watch says it is pursuing additional investigative leads in conjunction with its use of the federal open records law to educate the public about the prosecution.

    I suspect their request will be stone walled, but I'm certainly glad they are doing it. I wish them all the ( speedy ) success in the world.

    I'm hoping they get someplace with this. Someone set themselves above the law in order for this fiasco to take place. Someone allowed a federal prosecutor to operate above the law. Someone brought an illegal alien into our country and then aided and abetted him. He received medical care here prior to any trial verdict that would make U.S. taxpayers liable. Who paid that and on who's authority? Who authorized a card to allow Davila to enter this country without going through the process all other foreign nationals must endure?
    I'm thinking the answers are going to point directly to the Chimp in Charge.

    You're welcome, I thought so too. I think they did really well putting them together.
