Los Angeles, Alta California - September 16, 2005 - (ACN) The spiritual leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, has come forward to say that the levees in New Orleans may have been "blown up" to save White areas at the expense of Black neighborhoods. During a tour of Charlotte, North Carolina to promote the "Millions More March" to take place on October 15, Minister Farrakhan said, "I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 25 foot deep crater under the levee breach. It may have been blown up to destroy the black part of town and keep the white part dry."

The Nation of Islam has been under siege here in Los Angeles by attacks from racist cops and anti-Muslim Jews. On August 25, the Nation of Islam's Western Regional Director, Minister Tony Muhammad, was savagely beaten by the Los Angeles Police Department while he was ministering to a grieving family that had lost a son to gang violence.

A few days after the beating , KFI Radio News here in LA reported that a Nation of Islam flyer was being distributed in Black neighborhoods calling for the "Bloods"and the "Cripts" to join with the Nation of Islam in a "Jihad against the LAPD". The local KFI report was picked up and immediately disseminated by the USA national Zionist media.

The flyer was an obvious "fake" concocted by enemies of the Nation of Islam to discredit Minister Tony Muhammad and has been refuted on the Nation of Islam publication "Final Call". The originators of the vile false report was KFI Radio which has an ugly reputation of broadcasting vicious Islamophobic propaganda . The wife of LAPD Chief Bratton, Rikki Klieman, has substituted for the hateful and obnoxious Bill Handel in the past.

The Black population in America is still not free regardless of the pretensions of Washington D. C. and media propaganda. The appointment of token "Uncle Toms" and "Aunt Jemimas" like Colin Powell and Congoleeza Rice is just a ruse to give the impression that there is real opportunity for Blacks. In the end, history tells the truth. Colin Powell was merely used as a patsy to lie about the weapons of mass destruction . His great reputation prior to accepting the appointment as Secretary of State is now in total shambles and he has been abandoned and thrown out of the Bush Administration like a piece of trash. Miss Rice is apparently fulfilling other services for George Bush that the mainstream media does not report on. There are persistent rumors that Miss Rice provides personal services for the president. One incident occurred on Air Force One on its flight to Guanajuato for the first meeting with President Vicente Fox. Yesterday, a photograph was published in the New York Times that shows President Bush scribbling a note to Miss Rice that says, "Condi, I think I may need a bathroom break?".

We believe Minister Louis Farrakhan when he says that the New Orleans levees were breached on purpose. COVERUP: The dynamiting of the New Orleans levee system

Los Angeles, Alta California - September 11, 2005 - (ACN) New evidence is surfacing concerning the sabotaging of the New Orleans levee system that resulted in the flooding of primarily Black neighborhoods. A significant number of New Orleans residents have come forward to say that the levees were breached on purpose by the authorities.

Also, this publication has located the original Associated Press article that reported on a gun battle between the New Orleans Police Department and US military contractors near the vicinity of the breached levee along the 17th Street Canal. The original report states that New Orleans police shot and killed 5 armed US military contractors in a gun battle. The original AP report was confirmed by a US Army Corps of Engineers spokesman. The AP story has now been deleted on pretty much all news websites and a different version substituted. Our publication was forwarded a link to the original report by one of our subscribers after reading our article, "The Great New Orleans Land Grab" This article argues that the gun battle was an attempt by the New Orleans police to stop further sabotaging of the levee system by US military saboteurs under high level secret orders. We have also provided a mirror link to the original AP report on our server in case the forwarded link gets deleted or the report is changed. Our article, "The Great New Orleans Land Grab" proposes that the sabotaging of the levee system had already been planned. They were just waiting for the right hurricane to implement it. Katrina provided just the right cover. The ultimate purpose is to rid New Orleans of poor Black folks and take their valuable land away. We are already seeing the plan take fruition. Banks and mortgage companies are now foreclosing on homes and properties because poor Black in diaspora are unable to make mortgage payments. Also, Black families in New Orleans who owned their homes outright could not afford damage insurance and do not have the money to rebuild. Most likely, their properties would be taken away for failure to pay property taxes. Developers, and contractors stand to make a lot of money in the new New Orleans. Vultures are already hovering over the devastated city. Dick Cheney was recently in town to survey the possibilities for Halliburton and deals are being made with a Las Vegas group to build multi-million casinos in the Big Easy.

Many of the Black families in diaspora already suspect the worse. Resident Andrea Garland, now re-located to Texas, said, " I also heard that part of the reason our house flooded is that they dynamited part of the levee system after the first section broke - they did this to prevent Uptown (the rich White part of town) from being flooded. Apparently they used too much dynamite, thus flooding part of the Bywater. So now I know who is responsible for flooding my house - not Katrina, but our government." There are also claims by intelligence expert Tom Heneghen that 25 earwitnesses heard explosions immediately before the levees broke. The Washington Post, in addition, interviewed John Mullen III, an African American retired schoolteacher now staying at the Houston Superdome. John Mullen III lived in the Lower Ninth Ward, an all Black neighborhood. John Mullen told the Washington Post that he believes that the levee breaks had somehow been engineered to keep the wealthy French Quarter and Garden District dry at the expense of poor Black neighborhoods like the Lower Ninth Ward -- a suspicion the Washington Post has heard from many other Black survivors.

Bush accepts aid from Mexico, silent on Venezuela
but rejects help from Cuba

Los Angeles, Alta California - September 8, 2005 - (ACN) For the first time since 1846, the Mexican Army will be operating in Aztlan territory. A 35 vehicle Mexican Army convoy carrying water treatment plants, mobile kitchens and food supplies for the victims of Katrina is presently rumbling north to Houston, Tejas. The convoy is due to cross into Laredo, Tejas, early today, said a spokesman for President Vicente Fox.

Professor Javier Oliva, a political scientist at Mexico's National Autonomous University (UNAM) said that the convoy has "a very high symbolic content". He added, "This is a very sensitive subject, for historic and political reasons." The army trucks will also include 195 unarmed Mexican soldiers, officers and specialists, who will provide water and hot meals for the Black victims that were evacuated from the New Orleans area.

The convoy includes two mobile kitchens that can feed 7,000 people a day, three flatbed trucks carrying mobile water treatment plants and 15 trailers of bottled water, blankets and medicine. It also includes military engineers, doctors and nurses.

Mexico has also sent a Mexican navy ship to the Mississippi coast with rescue vehicles and helicopters. The ship "Papaloapan" left the Mexican port of Tampico on Monday and will be docking in the Mississippi River near Biloxi, Mississippi. Mexico has sent disaster relief aid to other Latin American countries, but this is the first time it has done so to the USA.

In 1846, Mexican troops advanced north of the Rio Grande in Tejas, a rebel state that had joined the United States. Mexico did not then recognize the Rio Grande as the U.S. border. Soon after the Mexican-American War began and this led to the theft of half of Mexico's territory in 1848.

Meanwhile, the Bush Administration is remaining quite on the magnanimous aid being provided by President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela to the poor in the USA southern states. Venezuelan government owned Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., operates 8 refineries and 14 thousand gas stations in the USA. The Venezuelan petroleum related assets are run under the "Citgo" banner.

The Venezuelan program to aid the USA's poor by providing gasoline at half the price of Chevron was in effect prior to the Katrina disaster but today President Chavez announced that it will make an additional one million barrels of oil available to Black families hit hard by the hurricane. The USA media has said very little but the word is that there are very long lines at the Citgo gasoline filling stations.

The Bush Administration, has on the other hand, flatly rejected assistance from Cuba for Hurricane Katrina's victims. Cuba was ready to send 1,500 medical doctors and 34 tons of essential medicines to Louisiana and Mississippi but White House spokesman Scott McClellan said flatly, "We don't want Fidel Castro's aid". Mr. McClellan's refusal of medical aid from Cuba angered Beulah and Reginald Crémieux of New Orleans. The Crémieux's lost a family member three days ago when they could not find insulin for their diabetic aunt. Thirty two year old Angela Crémieux died in a diabetic coma.

Los Angeles, Alta California - September 7, 2005 - (ACN) There were numerous incidents that occurred during and immediately after Katrina struck that point to the "unthinkable". It now appears that a sophisticated plan was implemented that utilized the "cover of a hurricane" to first destroy and than take over the City of New Orleans? As the world watched the events unfolding, one could not help think that something was terribly afoot concerning the rescue by FEMA of the city's poor and predominate Black population. It seems that a well laid out plan was put into effect to grab valuable real estate from well established but poverty stricken Black families of New Orleans? What is being implemented now is nothing less than a sophisticated scheme to purge and ethnically cleanse what Whites have termed "Black and 'welfare bloated' New Orleans".

Among the most telling anomalies pointing to something terribly afoot is the gun battle, killing 5, that occurred at the breached levee between the New Orleans Police Department and, what have now been identified as US military agents. An Associated Press report, which has now disappeared, stated that at least five USA Defense Department personnel where shot dead by New Orleans police officers in the proximity of the breached levee. (Please Note: The original media reports concerning the shootout are now being changed or "cleansed" in a cover-up. The "contractors" were on their way to launch barges into Lake Pontchartrain, in an operation to "fix" the 17th Street Canal, according to the Army Corps of Engineers spokesman. Deputy Police Chief W.J. Riley of New Orleans later reported that his policemen had shot at eight suspicious people near the breached levee, killing five or six.

Who were these "military agents" that were killed by the police near the 17th Street Canal breached levee and what were they doing there? Why did the New Orleans police find it necessary to shoot and kill 5 or 6 of them? No one is saying anything and it appears that the news story has now been swept under the rug. Were these US Department of Defense personnel a Special Forces group or Navy Seals with top secret orders to sabotaged the levee? There are verifiable reports that at least 100 New Orleans police officers have disappeared from the face of the earth and that two have committed suicide. Could these be policemen that died defending the levee against sabotage by "federal contractors"?

Another telling incident that points to a "nefarious plan" is what New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin said at the height of the crisis. He said publicly, "I fear the CIA may take me out!" Mayor Nagin, a Black, said this twice. He told a reporter for the Associated Press: "If the CIA slips me something and next week you don't see me, you'll all know what happened." Later he told interviewers for CNN on a live broadcast that he feared the "CIA might take me out." What does Mayor Ray Nagin know and why does he fear the CIA?

In an interview by WWL TV, Mayor Nagin complained vociferously that Louisiana National Guard Blackhawk helicopters were being stopped from dropping sandbags to plug the levee soon after it breached. There is evidence that no repairs were allowed on the levee until after New Orleans was totally flooded!

Many civilian groups who were attempting to aid people trapped in their attics, on their roofs and at the Superdome are reporting that FEMA, other federal agents and the US military essentially "stopped" them from doing so. Convoys that were organized by truckers and carrying "food and water" were blocked by agents of the federal government on the highways and roads leading to New Orleans. The American Red Cross, in addition, encountered numerous incidents and has made formal complaints.

A private ham radio network that deployed throughout the hurricane ravished region reported that the airwaves were being "jammed" making it impossible to communicate emergency information. Churches, hospitals and other essential community groups reported that the first thing that the US military did, when they arrived, was to cut their telephone lines and confiscate communications devices. We all witnessed news reports and heard statements by flood victims concerning the behavior of the US military. Many Black families complained that military vehicles did not stop to assist them but just drove by. One news report showed military personnel playing cards inside a barrack while Black citizens were dying of thirst and hunger.

Today, it is very revealing how the federal government is handling the disaster. They want every Black out of New Orleans and those who insist on staying in their homes will be removed by force. The government, through some media, is utilizing scare tactics to cleanse New Orleans of all Blacks. They want no witnesses and this will make the "land grab" a lot easier to undertake. One scare tactic is calling the flood water "a horrid toxic soup of feces a rotting flesh of corpses". The military thugs are now getting tough with Black families that have owned their old but beloved homes for many generations. Mr. Rufus Johnson, a family patriarch who lives in the French Quarter, said in an interview, "The army has given me an ultimatum to leave or suffer the consequences of a forced eviction. I do not understand . My entire family and I survived Katrina and now they want to throw me out of the home we have had for generations". Mr. Johnson lives in a neighborhood where the flood has subsided and his home is not heavily damaged yet FEMA wants him out!

The fact that Vice President Dick Cheney is heavily involved in the FEMA operations from behind the scenes is very troublesome. Cheney and his cronies at Halliburton are in line for the lucrative contracts to "reconstruct a New Orleans". Deals are already being made with a Las Vegas business group to construct multi-million dollar casinos in the Big Easy on prime real estate that was owned by Black families. Whites throughout history have been notorious "land grabbers". In the USA they first confiscated land that belonged to American Indians. Most of the Indians ended up in worthless tracts of land called "reservations". The largest "land grab", however, was the theft of Aztlan. This occurred soon after the Mexican-American War. In Alta California , vast "Ranchos" were stolen from the Californios through a variety of scams. A favorite ploy was to impose extremely heavy land taxes on the Mexicans and then foreclosing on the properties. The land was then given or sold at very low prices to the Forty Niners who came in large hordes to Alta California during the so called "Gold Rush" of 1849.

"Racism" is the cause of the sluggish response to help New Orleans

Los Angeles, Alta California - September 2, 2005 - (ACN) Katrina has exposed the ugly underbelly of the USA for the world to see. The unimaginable suffering of the Black population in New Orleans and elsewhere in the "Apartheid South" due to the hurricane is primarily due to the deeply ingrained racism that exists throughout America but especially in the "Old South" against the former "slaves". New Orleans is 70% Black and most earn less than one half what Whites do. The foot dragging to send in food, water and medicine to help the dying, mostly Blacks, trapped at the Astrodome is due to the deep animosity, now hidden, of Whites towards Blacks.

The examples of racism against New Orleans during their hour of need are many. The first is the fact that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other White run federal agencies knew of the impending catastrophe but chose to ignore it. There were already numerous reports that New Orleans was in imminent danger of a major catastrophe because the levy system that holds back the sea needed upgrading. Instead, federal funds designated to fix the dikes were cut. "Who cares about those poor ******s and drag queens in the Big Easy, let it sink into the sea! " is what the Black mayors of New Orleans heard consistently over the years. Another example is what is being heard on radio in the Los Angeles area. Bill Handel, and extremely hateful and obnoxious Jewish talk jock, said of the Blacks breaking into food stores, "The cops should just shoot those animals in the head". The same was heard from the anti-Mexican bigot Doug McIntyre on another LA based radio station.

There is no doubt that there could have been a more rapid and efficient response if there would have been the "will" to do so. No one cared, not Bush nor most other responsible government agents until the embarrassing photographs of the horrific situation were being transmitted across the world. After much, of what only amounted to, "lip service" by government officials, George Bush put on a show today for the press giving the impression that he would fly to New Orleans to "save the day". "The cavalry is here to save New Orleans" he said. What a sham!

What happened to all the USA Chinook helicopters? What happened to the Louisiana National Guard? What happened to the US Army’s ability to deploy emergency hospitals in a matter of hours? Perhaps they are busy reconstructing Iraq. What a shame! We wonder what Black soldiers in Iraq from Louisiana and Mississippi think when viewing the pictures of old Black women and Black children dead on the concrete inside and in the parking lot of the Astrodome. They died of hunger and thirst and because of the lack of essential medications. Supplies that were denied to the Black refugees simply because no one cared.

La Voz de Aztlan is concerned that the same thing will happen to the large Mexican-American population in the southwest if a similar catastrophe should occur here. If a major earthquake or terrorist attack should befall Los Angeles, San Antonio, San Diego or San Francisco, would the White run government emergency agencies do to us what they did to the Blacks in New Orleans? Would they choose to apply resources to save the predominate White areas and leave us to die? The time to plan and prepare is now!
