DENVER — A federal jury has ruled in favor of two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who were accused in a civil suit of raiding a home near Aspen without a warrant.

The jury on Thursday held a third agent liable for only $1 in damages from the March 2009 raid.

The lawsuit accused agents Steve Turza, Christopher Carter and Vanessa Hipps of targeting the family of Sugey Guerrero. Guerrero said the agents violated her constitutional rights.

The agents argued they entered because they were concerned for residents' safety when no one answered the door.

Guerrero says they pounded on her bedroom doors and lied by saying they were police responding to a car crash. She says they illegally detained her and her relatives.
