Kansas: Illegal immigrants voting?
Illegal immigrants voting?
A group calling itself the November Patriots held a press conference Tuesday in the Statehouse to voice their worries that non-citizens may be sneaking into the polls Tuesday.
They say a now-closed loophole in state law allowed many (50,000, by one estimate) to get drivers licenses without proving residency. The Patriots worry that those folks may have also registered to vote. They say their fears are being ignored by election officials and the media (there may be something to the latter point - your humble reporter was one of only two media types at their event Tuesday).
"We believe that the integrity of the system itself is at stake here," said Richard Fry, a member of the Patriots. Fry described the group as a Kansas-based grassroots organization that favors open, accountable government. The government's handling of illegal immigration is a particular concern, he said.
The Patriots couldn't offer any evidence that illegal immigrants are meddling with Kansas elections.
Nevertheless, Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh takes the issue seriously, according to spokeswoman Stephanie Meyer.
Meyer said state election officials routinely check the rolls against records at the DMV and voter rolls in other states to weed out those who aren't legally allowed to vote here.
"We have a number of checks in place," she said.

If Kansas is like Washington State, there should be huge concerns. Washington State verifies residency of Washington State, NOT citizenship. With the motor-voter law, all they have to do is mark the "yes I am a citizen" when the apply for a driver's license, and they get rigistered to vote also.
A woman was deported back to Mexico from Seattle earlier this year, and yes she had a King County voter registration card in her possession according to a News with Views article. I am guessing a large number of illegals are registered to vote. We have no intrgrity left in our elections.

Rather interesting that none of you seem to have voter registration problems regarding possible illegal aliens in your states??????
Do you know what your State Voter agency requires for registration to vote?? Might be interesting if you question if CITIZENSHIP is verified before anyone is registered to vote.
This election has enough voter registration fraud, and the possibilities of illegal aliens becoming registered.
This election may end up in the courts for a long time...then what happens?

Are none of you in States tht give driver licenses (like nine left), to illegal aliens. The motor voter law still affects everyone in this country. Get a license in a motor-voter state and YOUR state will most likely accept that for another license in YOUR State and also for voter registration.
Think about it.
Demnd verification of Citizenship for voting priveleges.
It is bad enough that there is all this voter registration fraud vs ACORN, but what about the States that don't verify citizenship for voter registration?????????
Illegal immigration is costing American hospitals billions of...
