Well, I guess that these two guys were just holding the girl for someone else and that mom and her boyfriend were just holding 500 pounds of marijuana for someone else, so the balance of yin and yang has probably been restored.

My gosh, it saddens and angers me to think that you are probably right! This child needs to be in a home where she is really LOVED, instead of what must be a hell hole.

Charges against both were later dropped

Could it be the charges were dropped to protect these two from deportation? 500 lbs is not a personal use quantity.

Even if the judge dropped the marijuana charge they should have been deported.

(CBS) - The mother of Ayvani Perez, a 14-year-old Georgia girl who was found safe Wednesday after being abducted from her home early Tuesday, was arrested in February 2012 on drug charges with one of the men suspected in her daughter's abduction, a spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to CBS News' Crimesider.

The Henry Daily Herald reported on Feb. 23, 2012 that Maria Magdalena Corral, who has been identified by multiple sources as the mother of Ayvani Perez, was arrested with Juan Alberto Contreras-Ramirez and three others following a drug raid in Stockbridge, Ga. The five people were arrested on charges of trafficking marijuana, according to the paper.

During the raid, agents with the Flint Circuit Drug Task Force recovered about 550 pounds of marijuana and $3,000 in cash, police reportedly told the paper.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Corral was never indicted in the drug-trafficking case and Contreras-Ramirez had the charges dropped against him after a judge ruled the search of the home was unconstitutional because the agents lacked a warrant.

Police confirmed Wednesday afternoon that Ayvani was found safe after being abducted from her Ellenwood home early Tuesday. Chief Gregory Porter with the Clayton County police says Ayvani was found "at a location in Conyers, Georgia" and that two suspects were in custody.The FBI identified the kidnapping suspects in custody as Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, described as a 40-year-old Mexican national, and Wildrego Jackson, 29, of Atlanta. ICE confirmed to Crimesider that Contreras-Rodriguez also goes by Contreras-Ramirez.

"It is the same guy," Vincent Picard, spokesperson for ICE, said.

The FBI said in a news conference Wednesday that Rodriguez is being held on immigration-related charges and Jackson is being held on conspiracy to kidnap.

Authorities say they are looking at several other suspects in the kidnapping.

They also said during the news conference that officials have not determined the relationship between Ayvani's family and the suspects. They said the motive has not been determined.

The kidnapping happened on a cul-de-sac in Ellenwood, a small community about 10 miles southeast of Atlanta, police said. Stockbridge, where the 2012 drug trafficking arrests occurred, is about 10 miles from Ellenwood.

A spokesman for the Clayton County police told CBS News' Crimesider that police were not aware of any connection between the mother of Ayvani Perez and the kidnapping suspects, and had been focused on rescuing the teen. Crimesider has left messages with two other law enforcement agencies involved in the 2012 drug case, which have not been returned.

Stockbridge drug raid nets $300,000 in marijuana

Five people were arrested following a drug raid in Stockbridge by the Flint Circuit Drug Task Force.

All of the suspects appeared in Henry County Magistrate Court Wednesday, before Judge Wesley Shannon. Juan Alberto Contreras-Ramirez, Maria Magdalena Corral, Jose Juan Guerrero-Estrada, Jesus Bernal Peinado, and Victor Hugo Corchado Gonzalez are charged with trafficking marijuana.

Judge Shannon bound their cases over to Henry County Superior Court.

According to Maj. Chad Rosborough, the drug raid was the result of an investigation conducted by task force agents.

Approximately three months ago, we received information to a possible drug-trafficking organization,” said Maj. Rosborough. He said the information his agency received led to a residence, at 589 McCullough Road, in Stockbridge.

Tuesday, they got enough substantial information to obtain a search warrant for the house. Agents executed the search warrant around 3:30 p.m. “They found about 550 pounds of marijuana and $3,000 in cash,” said Rosborough. “The estimated street value is $300,000.”

The four men and one woman were arrested without incident, or injuries.

“This is the largest marijuana bust we have made since the task force was combined in May,” Rosborough said.

The suspects transported the marijuana, which was welded inside large equipment, such as automotive parts, said Rosborough. He added that the drugs have not been linked to any auto repair shop.

During our investigation, it appeared the marijuana was coming from the Mexico and Texas areas, and was being transported here, to Henry County,” he said.

None of the suspects lived at the Stockbridge home where they were apprehended, he added. “They were using it strictly as a stash house.”

Task force agents never went to the home to purchase drugs.

Rosborough explained that the trafficking charge stems from the large quantity of marijuana found inside the house. “Anything over 10 pounds of marijuana is an automatic charge of trafficking marijuana,” said Rosborough.

The suspects remained in the Henry County Jail without bond at press time, Wednesday.

This woman and all her cohorts need to be charged with child endangerment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and anything else they can find to charge them with, and the teen needs to be REMOVED from this home.
