Authorities have arrested four people in connection with stealing items from several vehicles, one of which was a Benton police car.

Several agencies have been involved in the case.

The arrests were made by Sherwood Police and Pulaski County Sheriff's officers, though the thefts occurred in Base Meadows in Jacksonville.

After reviewing the todaysthv.com article, it does not state those caught with the recovered stolen weapon were illegal aliens..

Lt. Russell did tell us that they have recovered most of the stolen items from the undercover squad car but still actively looking for some others. He also told me their department is still investigating whether or not the officer's car was in fact unlocked.
We do know that Pulaski County authorities have arrested at least one couple so far in connection to these car thefts. Lt. Carl Minden says that couple was found with a shotgun from that Benton squad car and two other unrelated guns.
