KS Police Chief Denies There are Sanctuary Cities in the U.S

Cities That Don't Enforce Immigration Laws Should Not Be Branded Sanctuary Cities, Kansas Police Chief Says

    Thursday, May 21, 2009
By Penny Starr, Senior Staff Writer

Chief of Police of Topeka, Kan., Ronald Miller said his city is not a sanctuary city despite its opposition to taking part in the federal program that allows local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration laws and the rejection of the federal E-Verify program that checks the immigration status of potential employees. (CNSNews.com/Penny Starr)

(CNSNews.com) – Cities where the local authorities do not enforce U.S. immigration laws should not be branded as sanctuary cities because the federal government still has the ability to enforce the immigration laws there, says Topeka, Kan., Chief of Police Ronald Miller.

“There are no sanctuary cities in the United States, because federal immigration laws can be enforced in all of those cities,â€

I would like to bring him to Miami and let him see that a sanctuary city exists. He could also do ride alongs with officers in areas where they have the same calls about day laborers and what they must do. Then they can take him into South Miami Dade County which has a large percentage of illegals and let him see what crimes some of them commit.

If the Topeka Police Officers would read the following link concerning Officer Rodney Johnson of the Houston Police Department who was murdered by an ILLEGAL who was worried about being DEPORTED AGAIN they may feel different. He was aided in returning to the United States after a previous deportation by his ILLEGAL EMPLOYER.

    This guy much smarter:

Pearce seeks to change police immigration policies

    May. 21, 2009 11:09 AM
    Associated Press .

One of Arizona's staunchest critics of illegal immigration says politicians who don't aggressively enforce immigration laws should be removed from office.

Sen. Russell Pearce has proposed prohibiting cities and counties from having policies that limit the full enforcement of federal immigration law.

The Mesa Republican called a hearing Thursday morning at the Legislature to examine so-called sanctuary policies.

Many local police bosses in Arizona have resisted the push in recent years to dive deep into immigration enforcement. They have said it would detract from their traditional roles in investigating thefts, assaults and other crimes and would jeopardize the trust they have built in immigrant communities.

Give it a few years, this idiot might see the light, however by then the damage will be done and it will take another 20 years to get rid of them!
