Waukegan:Mexican Counsulate urged [IA's] not to live in fear

A rep from the Mexican Counsul was in town last Sunday to speak at a church mass. She advised them, in my mind, to basically keep breaking US laws. How do we stop this interference?!

Consulate urged not to live in fear

Diplomats Mexicans visit two churches, carry the messages to thousands of people and find that in Waukegan live in fear.

    Drafting La Raza

Iona Navarrete, responsible for protection of the Consulate of Mexico in Chicago, called on the community to live free from fear and defend their rights.

The priest Gary Graff, pastor responsible for the three Catholic churches that offer Masses in Spanish in Waukegan, appreciated the visit of diplomats occurred on Sunday, November 18, and stressed the need to be informed.

"I do not like to interrupt the mass, but I think it is important to heed this message," said Graff at the beginning of the church service that began at one in the afternoon at the Holy Family Church.

Iona Navarrete addressed parishioners from the pulpit at the side of the altar, and at least was heard in the two Masses by two thousand two hundred people, an amount that could be higher.

According to the quota for the church estimated by a volunteer informed La Raza, the Holy family receives thousand 100 people sitting for each service in Spanish, plus 400 standing around.

Iona Navarrete urged people not to live in fear and defend their rights regardless of their immigration status.

At the same time asked to avoid driving if they have drunk not offer reasons for the police and arrested.

A council was remarked that the proper treatment of children and minors, responsible for protection made them see the danger that any parent who maltreated their children could be imprisoned and even lose the right to be the guardian of those children.

As for the raids or mass arrests of Latin Americans that have occurred in previous weeks in Waukegan and neighboring cities, Navarrete advised not to open the door to any police authority.

If arrested, not provide more information than the name, not to sign any documents and call a lawyer immediately or communicate with the Consulate General of Mexico.

From the altar Catholic Navarrete asked to "protect what's yours," and not stop losing everything they have achieved through years of hard work.

Subsequently, the father Gary Graff offered to the diplomatic lounge to serve where they were needed, and people might have an opportunity to ask about specific situations.

People who attended Navarrete consulted him questions to obtain dual nationality and detentions, including that of a young mother dam by using a false Social Security number to work.

The second church visiting representatives of the Consulate of Mexico was the Immaculate Conception, a religious compound with space for about 600 people and is located north of Waukegan.

The Consul Jaime Borja Almonte catered to the people who attended the Mass in Spanish held at 12:30 noon.

Like its companion Iona Navarrete, Almonte answered questions to those attending the Mass, and later came to the Holy Family to

    Continued attention to more Mexicans.

Happy Thanksgiving, Fedup!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

I agree.....this interference does need to stop. These foreign diplomats have no business whatsoever instructing their nationals, here illegally, to break the law, how to do so and how to evade authorities.

And Graff, quite frankly, belongs in jail. Clergy or no, he is actively committing crimes himself and rubbing it in everyone's faces while he does it.

Now, the question is: What do we do? Who do we turn to who will begin the process of stopping this nonsense?
