Chandler AZ police arrest man in stabbing, decapitation
Chandler police arrest man in stabbing, decapitation
by Kate Jacobs and Laurie Merrill - Oct. 11, 2010 11:45 AM
The Arizona Republic
.
A headless man was found in a Chandler apartment, and a drinking buddy has been arrested in his death and decapitation.
The victim, who has not been identified, and the suspect, Crisantos Moroyoqui, who is in the country illegally, had been drinking together at 4:30 a.m. Sunday. At 5:30 a.m., some men who had fallen asleep in the apartment awoke to find the man's beheaded body in a large pool of blood, according to police reports.
It is not known what transpired between the pair that led one to allegedly stab and decapitate the other, nor is it known what weapon was used.
Police described the victim as a Hispanic male in his 30s. Police have not released his name pending notification of next of kin.
Moroyoqui , the victim and three other men were drinking in the living room of 300 W. Fairview Street, apartment 1, according to a police report. Two others decided to go to sleep, police said.
"Before going to bed, they saw the victim alive and well with Moroyoqui and three other Hispanic males in the living room," the police said.
A pair of bloody tan colored shoes, identified as Moroyoqui's, was found outside his apartment at 320 W. Fairview Street. Moroyoqui and several other men were removed from the apartment.
Moroyoqui wore the same clothes he had on at the drinking party, and police said blood they believe to be the victim's was found on his pants.
At first Moroyoqui provided a false identity, police said, and then when he did he exercised his right to remain silent.
"It is believed that Moroyoqui was present and a participant, if not the sole participant, in the decapitation death of the victim," the report says.
Officers arrested Moroyoqui on suspicion of 2nd degree murder and hindering prosecution, police said. This is an active investigation and anyone with information should call the Chandler Police Department at 480-782-4130.

What is with Mexican's and decapitation? I am constantly reading of victims in Mexico being decapitated. Murder isn't enough they have to take it further. Grusome. Is their a special significance or message being made?

Looky looky at what the future holds for America. Hey all of you Obama supporters, ya like what ya see now do ya? Doesn't everyone just love the diversity that illegal aliens bring to your town? These are goooood people, only here to make a living for their family, right? They march in our streets, demands rights that even citizens don't have, commit crime, mock our laws, mock American citizens and dare them to do something about it. And now, our own government is calling people like us extremists, militias, dangerous. They want to take away our right to self defense by finding devious ways to take away our guns. Is this perhaps what they are trying to do with the Blair-Holt bill? Nahhhh, Obama, Pelosi, Reid and all the other deviant freaks in our government would never do something like that, right? Our own government is SUING the state of Arizona for having the gall to protect itself. Arizona, you can't do that! We don't care if your citizens are being abused, robbed, murdered, extorted and threatened by the hordes of illegal invaders. We know what's right for you and we say you can't protect yourself! Shut up and take it!
IS THIS THE AMERICA YOU WANT? REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER OR YOU MAY LOSE THE LAST CHANCE YOU WILL EVER HAVE TO CHANGE THE DIRECTION THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS HEADED....I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...

Chandler police arrest man in stabbing, decapitation
by Kate Jacobs and Laurie Merrill - Oct. 11, 2010 07:18 PM
The Arizona Republic
Chandler police are investigating the bizarre case of a man who was stabbed, decapitated and left in a pool of blood in a central city apartment.
One man has been arrested and police are seeking three more suspects in what may the city's first beheading.
"We don't go to many cases where the victim has been decapitated," said Chandler Police Det. Frank Mendoza.
The man police arrested in the case, Crisantos Moroyoqui, 36, is an undocumented immigrant who lived across the way from the murder scene. He rented a bed for $100 a month in a small apartment shared by five other day laborers. He had lived there three months, his roommates said Monday.
He spent Sunday morning drinking across the walkway with the victim and three other men. The other four had just arrived this past weekend, neighbors said. No one knew them well. But two other men who went to sleep about 4:30 a.m. saw the five men still drinking.
"Before going to bed, they saw the victim alive and well with Moroyoqui and three other Hispanic males in the living room," police said.
Sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., one of the four visitors, a Hispanic male in his 30s, was stabbed, decapitated and left in a pool of blood.
The three remaining visitors fled in a 2003 red Ford Expedition with California plate 6FWR784, police said. Moroyoqui, his tan shoes covered in blood, had apparently walked the few steps to his apartment and fallen asleep in the bed he rents, police said. Police reported he also had blood on his pants, which they are testing to determine if it belonged to the victim.
Neighbors reported seeing candles burning in the apartment. The men also used a Ouija Board, also known as a spirit board, neighbors said. Empty cases of Bud Light beer were evident Monday, as was a large red stain in the carpet.
Police would not comment Monday on whether they are looking into the possibility that the four men were practicing a ritual that involves decapitations. Nor would they say whether drugs were involved.
"In any type of homicide investigation we look at every angle, whether greed, drugs…" Mendoza said. "There is a reason why they did this to this guy. We just don't know what it is yet."
When police responded to the scene, they said Moroyoqui at first provided a false identity He has exercised his right to remain silent.
He was arrested on suspicion of 2nd degree murder and hindering prosecution.
The other suspects, considered armed and dangerous, are:
• Juan Campos Morales Aguilar, also known as Asai He is about 5 foot 10 inches, 220 pounds and has short dark hair and a thin mustache. He was least seen wearing a black shirt with a white T-shirt and jeans.
• Jose David Castro Reyes, 25. He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, is clean shaven and has short hair. He was wearing jeans, a white shirt and a white T-shirt.
• The third suspect is known only as "El Joto." He is about 5 foot 3 inches tall, with short spiked black hair and a goatee. He was wearing a white T-shirt, with a black pattern shirt and Levis.
Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call 911.
