Thread: L.A. town hall meeting exposes deep rift on immigration overhaul

The state of California is already facing severe pressure from over population: More than 50% of the children now being born in California are first and second generation descendants of Mexican / Latin American immigrants, mostly illegal. There has been so many foreign immigrants into the state that California now has a biger population than the entire country of Canada.

As multiple immigrant families crowd into the state, it has put a severe strainon the supply of housing and jobs, displacing many former California residents to into neighboring states. It is not a coincidence that all three states bordering California have seen high unemployment in the last few decades, as their populations have increased from the Americans fleeing the onslaught of illegal migrants (and the unaffordability, crime, and poor school districts that inevitably accompany their presence).
