DETROIT (AP) — President-elect Barack Obama has named Cecilia Muñoz, a Detroit native and University of Michigan graduate, as White House director of intergovernmental affairs.

Muñoz currently supervises legislative and advocacy work as a senior vice president at the National Council of La Raza, an advocacy group for Hispanic Americans.

The Detroit News says Muñoz was born in Detroit in 1962 to immigrant parents from La Paz, Bolivia. The family moved to Michigan so her father, an automotive engineer, could attend the University of Michigan.

While studying at Michigan, she tutored Hispanic American inmates at the state prison in Jackson.

She will be working with the states probably trying to reverse all the good enforcement laws that have been passed in the last couple of years.

Well we will just have to be more diligent than ever, and I believe most of the anti-illegal activist groups are already starting to speak out.

I'm truly digusted about this. One thing I will say that the idea of a "latino community" does not exist. People like Cecila Munoz will never admit that there many proud conservative American Hispanics that don't use their race as merit like she does. Racists like Cecilia Munoz and Janet Muriega don't represent American Hispanics like me. I think it a huge double standard that members of NCLR can hold high positions in govenrment but if a person who is a KKK member was to have some high position the media would hound the person constantly. Cecilla Munoz should be hounded the same way David Dukes was years ago when he ran for governor of Louisiana.

10 million Americans out of work and unemployed while there are 10 million illegal aliens working in our country. This is the 900 pound gorilla in the living room that is completely being ignored by politicians and the lamestream media. What's wrong with this picture?

The more the American sheeple sleep, the more they lose. Still they go to the voting booth and nominate people like Juan McAmnesty and re-elect those such as Lindsissy Grahamnesty and Murtha. Murtha insulted his constituency in every way that he could short of talking smack about their mama and they still put him back into office. Is it any wonder then that politicians are emboldened to ignore their stupid constituents? If you're gonna be stupid, you gotta be tough!
