    BROWNSVILLE - Law enforcement authorities arrest two Mexican citizens for money laundering in the Lower Valley.

    Investigators got a tip Sandra Elias Martinez and Hector Ramos Sanchez would be smuggling drugs. They pulled them over in Brownsville. They found no drugs but caught them with about $43,000 in cash.

    The two couldn't explain how they got the cash. It's believed this was money headed for the drug cartels.

    Poor fellas. They probably thought they were being arrested for cleaning dirty drug money.
