I share your exact feelings on this, Kate. I've arranged a few protest marches before and the first step in the process for me was to obtain the necessary permit(s). I wouldn't print one flyer or sign up one person until the actual permit was approved and in hand. Hmmm.........I always figured that was just common sense.

no you all have it wrong, the permit should have been issued then every single member of ice should have been waiting on feb 24 th. they could have been loaded up and repatriated in one sweep! then they would have been home and applied for their permits from their country all legal and everything!!!!

Before something is advertised, the correct permits should have been gotten. Do criminal (pro-illegal) activitist believe that they are the only people have the right to have parades? It would seem that the Chinese parade is every year and that the organizers would know about it.

I agree with the commissioner that it would be to much for one day.

How much do you want to bet they show up at the chinese parade and have their rally anyway, they could care less about the law or permits.

wouldn't you secure the permit before you went to all that trouble.

They will be there, marching with their own agenda right along in the parade!!
