LAPD Union Expresses Some Support For AZ Immigration Law
LAPD Union Expresses Some Support For Arizona Immigration Law

While avoiding a political endorsement, the union representing Los Angeles police on Friday argued that Arizona's controversial immigration law does not impose draconian measures outside the bounds of normal law enforcement. Police, the union says, should be trusted not to abuse the additional authority the new law grants.
The law, the board of directors of the Los Angeles Police Protective League states on its blog, simply empowers "local and state police officers with the same kind of investigative discretion currently available to federal law enforcement officers."
"While we are not taking a political position on the Arizona law, the fact is that it limits officers' immigration status queries to people who have been legally stopped for some other reason," the LAPPL states. "Even then, officers must have and be able to articulate in a written report the basis for a reasonable suspicion that the person is unlawfully present in the United States."
The union argues that those who believe Arizona's law will "become an excuse to terrorize Hispanics" are not giving professional police officers enough credit. Cops, the union states, face more scrutiny on-the-job than many other public professionals.
The union agrees, however, with the goal of removing those who are in the country illegally:
" ... We think that everyone agrees that removing illegal aliens, who perpetrate crimes in our country, will make us all safer."

Well, FINALLY, helloo LAPD! About damn tiime you came out of your closets! Hell yes, support the AZ immigration law. Your cops, you're supposed to support the laws of the United States, especially laws that protect our jobs, wages, resources, benefits, public services, votes, lives, futures, security and national sovereignty. What decent cop wouldn't support the AZ immigration law that enforces US immigration law?
Wake Up Fraternal Order of Police! Every state and local law enforcement officer and every police association and police officers union should be thanking Arizona for writing a bill that outlines the perfect model to unleash our nation's 800,000 sworn police officers to enforce US immigration law to the letter and verse of US immigration, US labor and US civil rights laws. Compared to your mammoth responsibilities in other areas of law enforcement, this is a cake-walk for you that in turn has mammoth benefits for the American People and the United States.
Please help us solve this problem using the enormous manpower and resource we pay for every day in state and local law enforcement. The federal government only has a maximum of 40,000 federal agents trained in law enforcement devoted to Border Patrol and ICE. And a lot o those are officers workers and record keepers at our ports of entry checking cargo. None of them are on our streets or in our communities. Our state, North Carolina, has 1 ICE agent for the entire state.
Getting the picture? The feds can't do the job even if they wanted to. State and local law enforcement has more than 20 x the manpower and resources of Border Patrol and ICE combined, and your resources are situated where theirs aren't, yours are on the streets and in the communities and as a result you know who the illegal aliens are, where they are and what they're doing.
LETS GO POLICE UNIONS! Lets get behind Arizona and support their great model to solve this problem in every state of these United States. It's time to take our country, and we need you to help us do it.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

Great...now if they can come out against Special Order 40, ( which is a mandate by former Police Chief Gates and LA City Council, not a law!) then we might get somewhere.
Here is a link if you want to read the exact language contained therein the Special Order 40 mandate :

On Oct. 6, 1999, The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of a landmark decision by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, confirming that state and local law enforcement officials are free to arrest illegal aliens to the full extent permitted by state law.
Since 1070 simply mirrors existing Federal law, there is no conceivable way that any rational court ( you'll understand why I use that terminology in just a moment) could strike it down with out directly contradicting the decision of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals - a decision the Supreme Court refused to hear!
Unfortunately for us however, California and Arizona fall under the jurisdiction of the wacky 9th Circuit Court of Appeals up In San Francisco! Notice that all the states which fall under the Jurisdiction of the 9th Circuit are being invaded by illegal aliens.
Oklahoma, which has passed some of the most stringent laws against illegal invaders, is within the jurisdiction of the 10th Circuit.
You decide if it makes a difference....

Bless the LAPD! And police organizations from every state and every city and every county of these United States need to support the LAPD, the AZ police officers, the AZ immigration bill, and the American People who are fed up with having pot laws enforced while our immigration laws are ignored.
