Larry Craig’s Brave Stance on Immigration

When the nativist hissing sounds start at the back of the room, most politicians run.

One hint of a question about “amnestyâ€

But whomever Idaho Gov. C. L. Butch Otter appoints to fill Craig’s shoes will not have the clout that Craig had, nor the cajones he has displayed of late on the issue.
...his 'cajones' are what did him in! (eeeeew!!! )
We are NOT a nation of immigrants!

Craig is a trader to Idaho and the United States, if he can not figure out how to keep people in the AG'S field and keep them from going into other employment or industries, he certainly is not wanted or needed in Idaho.

The sad thing is if Craig had done what is right for the people of Idaho instead of the Farmers, the people would have stood behind him no matter what the circumstances, but he let the people down for big business.

Well craig the old saying there is power in numbers and I guess the people out number the farmers in this state You lose, you made the wrong choice!!

Never look at another flag. Remember, that behind Government, there is your country, and that you belong to her as you do belong to your own mother. Stand by her as you would stand by your own mother

Idaho-based anti-immigration activist Robert Vasquez, who had initially planned to run for Larry Craig’s Senate seat next year, said that none of the people Gov. Otter is considering for the appointment will go far enough in combatting illegal immigration
Sorry, I have to chime in on this.

Mr. Robert Vazquez is a former Canyon County (? - I think that's correct) Commissioner. He is strongly against illegal immigration. In fact, he was one of the real first people to bring forward the idea of using RICO laws to go after employers of illegals... in short, he's a 'good guy', on our side.

Reading his comment above tells me, he wants to be the facilitator of NEW policies and he says he is best able to achieve such thing. I think he'd be ok (I'm sure he'd be better than Craig)

Phred, you are correct, and he would be fantastic in Craig's seat, he is also the man that caused all the trouble at Boise State when the young Republicans invited him to speak there. They raised money by haveing a fund raiser about fighting illegal immigration and you had two crawl under a fence (something like that)to win. They also had flyers with an illegal crawing under a fence. The prize was two free tickets to a Mexican restraunt

The group of young Republicans ran into trouble with the college as the pro-imigrants got a bit upset, The Young republicans called on ALIPAC for help and we wrote letter to the college about their freedom of speech.

All worked out ok and Vasquez went to Boise and spoke about what problems illegal immigration is causing in the United States.

Of course there was quite a crowd outside I guess protesting
