Calling it a “pivotal moment,” a band of Latino donors has launched a $20 million campaign to unseat those in the House who stand against President Obama’s immigration proposals and oppose Democratic Party reform bills.

The Latino Victory Project is a new political committee — akin to the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund — that’s poised to spend big to oust those in Congress with a large Hispanic constituency but who oppose the immigration policy overhaul that’s being pushed by Democrats, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Leaders of the group met just recently with a few dozen of their key donors, including union leaders, to lay out their plans for the 2014 mid-term elections, naming 10 Republicans in the House they would like to see go.

The group agreed to spend between $1 million and $2 million in each of the races, if the targeted House member did not vote in favor of immigration reform in the coming weeks.

“We’re all very united,” said Amalia Perea Mahoney, an art gallery owner in Chicago who attended the meeting, the Los Angeles Times reported. “I think it’s a pivotal moment.”

Meanwhile, the AFL-CIO’s immigration campaign manager, Tom Snyder, said of the meeting, in the report: “There was agreement in the room that if we don’t see action in the House, we know who we’re going after.”

But at least on GOP strategist regarded the campaign with calm eyes, saying that just because a group organizes and throws money into political races doesn’t mean voters will ultimately agree.

The Latino Victory Project is an offshoot of the Futuro Fund, a fundraising group led by Hollywood actress Eva Longoria who raised more than $30 million for Mr. Obama’s re-election.

My grandmother always told me to be careful of what you want because sometimes you get it.

I don't think people understand where these socialists want to take this country. It is to elites and poverty just like every other communist country that has ever existed. The problem is, our Socialists think they are so smart that they can do it better. The super rich are financing and promoting all of this because they know that neithr they nor their families will be touched by it. Only the "little people" will suffer and they don't care about them. All of these Mexicans sneak in here and then get used to turn this country into what they left - they are ignorant fools and socialist tools. JMO
