Latino Voters Sue Madera Unified

Fresno, CA, USA (KFSN) -- The Madera Unified School District is being sued on behalf of Latino voters who claim the district's election system violates their civil rights.

Attorneys said minorities are under-represented on the school board because elections are all "at-large." Currently, only one of the seven members is Latino, while 82 percent of students in the district are Hispanic.

How does it violate their civil rights if the school board is filled by VOTES of US citizens?? Regardless of the percentage of an ethnic group, illegal aliens and immigrants CANNOT and should not vote.

They want to BUY the election?

Personally, I am beginning to trust no election results, as there has been evidence that no one really does any vetting of those who register to vote. Show up with an ID (bought or stolen) and a local address, you get to vote. Go to another district with another false ID and you get to vote. And there are still plenty of voting machines that will be going on without a paper trail, not to mention how easily hackable these outsourced voting machines are. What I heard from Lou Dobbs a while ago was that one of the companies this voting machine responsibility had been outsourced to was a US company actually owned by Venezuela. Gives me a "warm feeling" that Mr. Chavez is looking out for our democracy.

I agree with you vortex, but if that were the case here, then their "civil rights" have not been violated. If illegal aliens and immigrants did vote in this election, why didn't they vote in more hispanic board members?

This is exactly how these people divide and conquer! They infiltrate a school district with illegal invaders and anchor babies and then claim the school board does not adequately reflect their ethnicity!

I guess their rational is that hispanic board members are perhaps more inclined to decide issues based upon ethno-centric agendas, rather than what's best for the district as a whole!

Those of us who debate the illegals on a regular basis know that the majority (I hate to say not all) racist comments or hate speech originates with the Hispanic illegals. Although other nationalities can be as stubborn and self-righteous as the Latinos, they rarely are as racist. They also are not as demanding or condescending.

I wonder how many are kids of illegal aliens. They should not have any say in school board meetings. This has nothing to do with civil rights. They just want to whine.

At the rate we're going.....we are going to need people from other countries to over-see our voting since our own can't be trusted. Seriously.....brand me with my purple finger if my vote is actually counted. Won't be that long till the world is cheering that a free American actually got their vote counted......for a change.
