Good thing he didn't say that the majority of U.S. citizens and legal residents believe that 17% of U.S. Latinos are illegal aliens. IMHO, an estimate of one in six is more likely to be low than high.

It is La Raza, LULAC, MEChA, and other illegal alien advocates who propagate this misperception by conflating illegal aliens with Latinos in general, attempting to dilute the criminality of the criminal element by mixing it with the legitimacy of the legal element. But that diluting works both ways.

Shoot the messenger. It is criminal invaders doing despicable things who provoke retaliation by ugly talk, violent crimes, and racial discrimination. After the first bad experience, it's not prejudice to avoid a second. Mr. Nogales blames the media for accurately, or even half-accurately, reporting the facts. But unlike the press in whatever banana republic Mr. Nogales came from, the free press in the United States has, along with that freedom, an equal responsibility to report the truth.
One man's terrorist is another man's undocumented worker.

Unless we enforce laws against illegal aliens today,
tomorrow WE may wake up as illegals.

The last word: illegal aliens are ILLEGAL!
