    Police institute new policy for illegal immigrants

    (New Haven - WTNH, Dec. 14, 2006 11:25 AM) _ New Haven has a new "don't ask, don't tell" policy when it comes to illegal immigrants.

    New Haven Police have been directed not to ask about a person's immigration status unless they are investigating a crime.

    Mayor John DeStefano says the goal is to make all residents, legal and illegal, more comfortable with asking police for help.

    Police say illegals can be easy targets for criminals and many don't report crimes for fear of being deported.




    Illegals are Criminals and guess what New Haven were their targets!
