Thread: Lawmakers' battle brews over driver's license policy

When you are in Florida on a vias they put temporary in red letters on your driver's license. It expires when your visa expires and that shows up if a police officer pull you over and runs you. I think it is a good idea as the largest number of illegals in Florida are people who overstayed visas.
Illegals don't care about our driving laws either. There have been so many hit and runs lately in South Florida than there have ever been. I posted one where a disabled man in a wheel chair was killed. There was another one where a woman was killed. Some have even tried running police officers over when pulled over for a traffic stop. They need to secure our border and remove all illegals.

It's insane. They just busted an illegal here for his second murder through drunk driving. He got a whopping 4 years on the first one, got deported and came back and killed another...this time it's 20 something years. Our laws mean nothing if they aren't enforced....and why bother obeying any when it's apparently pretty easy to get off with them or you just run and as long as you are faster than a cop, you get away with it.

Crazy Bird; in Hollywood, Florida we had an illegal Mexican who was deported in February, returned in March, and murdered a roommate in a fight and attacked another roomate who tired to stop it. I see it all the time and it makes me ill.

What about Americans' mental capacities for all the country's violence everywhere? Has it damaged us? And the governments ignore the dangers and damages being done to us.

El Paso immigration lawyer Kathleen Walker, past president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association,, said the policy could mean more people driving without licenses and without insurance.

The new license policy, she said, could make roads more dangerous and won't prevent terrorism.

"You shouldn't have two separate classes of citizenry regarding a driver's license," she said. "Either you've got a driver's license or you don't."

That's exactly what we don't want. ILLEGAL aliens getting licenses. They are NOT citizens by any means, they shouldn't even be here. We DON'T want them to have licenses.

If they choose to ignore the law and drive anyway, they WILL be caught and deported. Giving them licenses will not magically make them pay for insurance or even capable of driving!
