Legislators from Mexican State Angry at Influx of...Mexicans

    Whine, snivel.....

This may have already been posted so if so, sorry. Remember how the mexican government was all proud of the illegals and them saying where ever a mexican is mexico is also? Oh, now that they are coming back, it is a problem. What utter BS! Their own government does not give a rip about them anymore than ours does. Greed on both sides of the border.

Legislators from Mexican State Angry at Influx of...Mexicans

Can you believe the nerve of these people? Nine state legislators from the Mexican state of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico. It seems many Mexican illegals are now returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked:

A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona's new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.
At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora - Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns - cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here return to their hometowns without jobs or money.

The law, which took effect Jan.1, punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals who don't have valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension or loss of a business license.

They're pissed off because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a huge burden on their state government. This lady has some serious balls:

They want to tell them how the law will affect Mexican families on both sides of the border
"How can they pass a law like this?" asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano Gamez, who represents Nogales.

"There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona," she said in Spanish.

"Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems" it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and sending money to their families return to hometowns in Sonora without jobs, she said.

"We are one family, socially and economically," she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona.

Wrong. The United States is a sovereign nation and its states and its citizens are not responsible for the welfare of Mexico's citizens. It's time for the Mexican government to stop parasitically feeding off of the United States and start taking care of its own citizens.

The Mexicans who are living here sending remttances home need to make sure that their recipient beneficiaries invest their money and not merely consume with it. 90% of funds are being spent on processed food, improved housing and it's maintanance and off the rack clothing. The recipients should be growing and preserving their food, making their clothing and delaying housing improvement until building barns, storage and factory shells which are more likely to have an impact on earning.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I'd say I'm shocked but let's get real, when your own government gives you a map and gps system to come across to the US they don't want you in the country. The US is their dumping ground. I am appalled that we're supposed to pay for and allow these people in our country when their own government doesn't want them. These people are stupid anyways when they are all PRO MEXICO and ANTI USA when they are here living in our country and blame us for everything instead of denounicing Mexico and thanking the USA and its citizens for being more hospitable than their own country.

There is no reason why the Mexicans who have picked up modern construction techniques in the US could not band together and, with some traditional materials and methods. start building functional, attractive communities. The fact is that much of the building material in drier climates is far superior to what people use where there is plentiful lumber. Wooden houses hold up very poorly in wet climates, whereas brick, stone and stucco are virtually indestructable, especially in dry climates. They just need better seismic reinforcement and modernized utilities. In previous centuries it was the northern Europeans who lived in poverty compared to their Meditteranean neighbors. Even Arabic and African cultures have very well preserved older buildings, but you will find few wooden buildings that are old until you get farther north where it's frozen in the winter.

That's right. They should be looking at them as "their own" and as a "good human capital" not a liability.

That Vodka ad only enforces why Mexicans think the US owes them something. We send a message of weakness by not enforcing our immigration laws that emboldens the weak minded Mexicans..

Someone remind me why we're not taxing remittances. We need a tax on every dollar headed for Mexico to pay for services provided to illegals.

When Tancredo tried to enter that into law, Western Union went ballastic because their whole business is based on these remittances now.

This is exactly what we want (them to leave) and exactly what Mexico does not want ( illegal aliens to return) and why they purposely send their less educated and less skilled to America to take jobs from unscrupulous employers. They want the billions in remittances to Mexico and businesses here want cheap labor.

Mexico knows the same truth that almost every city and county in the United States has learned - we can not sustain a welfare population and still survive. Mexico is and has been corrupt and unfortunately for their citizens they must take responsibility and as CaptainRon and Richard remark, they must try to build and create new communities and work on their infrastructure and utilities and the betterment of their lives for a sustainable future.

The Absolut ad is ridiculous in the fact that if Mexico had that area that they claim for Reconquista, it would probably not look like the United States and be developed. It would probably be a wasteland, except for those areas where the rich and the elites would prosper. The population as a whole would still be wanting to cross a border into whatever part was the United States because corruption and the continued patterns of Mexico's lack of development would cause people to look elsewhere for a life.

The illegal aliens, LaRaza, Mecha, Lulac, Senator John McCain, Juan Hernandez, Ted Kennedy, the US Chamber of Commerce, ACLU, those 9 legislators from Mexico, and other special interests need to be in Mexico on May 1st this year, waving flags and shouting "Si Se Puede" at the Mexican government. That would be an interesting sight.
