Judgmental of ACLU, activist judges

The ACLU can stay out of the border dispute and Arizona. They need to take themselves and their activist judges to a communist country. They claim to be for civil rights - that's a laugh.

Since when do the rights of illegal immigrants trump those of American citizens? Where were they in Florida when a woman who had committed no crime was put to death by activist judges?

Forget that, it doesn't fit their agenda. This country's demise will be when we don't stand up for what is right and the Constitution as written. If we allow activist judges to make up laws from the bench, how can this be a country of, for and by the people? Congress makes laws; judges are there to see they are carried out. Nothing more.

An alternative to costly deportation

Well, I see where Uncle Sam plans to resume the free travel bureau for the Mexican illegal immigrant. A free plane ride back to Mexico City at a cost to U.S. taxpayers of more than $1,000 per traveler.

I could suggest a cheaper method and benefit the Mexicans with more than a free ride. How about offering the illegal immigrant a voucher for $500 available at the American Embassy in Mexico City? Give him a bus ticket and an encoded card to redeem the voucher at the border and be sent on his way. That $500 is the equivalent of a year's pay for a lot of the people, and we could send twice as many back for the same amount of money.
