In the last few years being a conservative I have become used to disappointments. First we had Reagan making deals with the Democrats to get his legislation passed. Then we had the first Bush (Bush 41 supra) who ran around making back room deals with Democrats against everything that his voters voted for.

We had deals on gun control and deals on huge tax increases. Everything was up for compromise and negotiation. When the election came along they socked it to him pointing out his “Read my lips, no new taxes” comment. Now we have the son, (Bush 43 supra) and we have in essence been sold out again. Last week Bush stood by while the new Democratic congress decided to provide no funding for the border fence that so many people whom were Bush voters and good honest citizens of this country railed and rallied for. Not a peep from the White House on this.

Bush 43's immigration enforcement looks like this: call the employer, tell him you are going to raid him, give him 6 months to raise his wages so he can hire Americans to do the job, let him know when you are going to raid (presumably so you can tell the Americans on what day they are going to start), and give his lawyers time to make up an argument so they can postpone any enforcement action and fines.

We have an Immigration case in which a meat packing company named Swift and this is what makes it remarkable: The illegal aliens there stole literally thousands of American IDs to get the job at Swift and nothing is going to be done by any level of government to compensate these Americans.

After the Katrina disaster in Louisiana there were Americans that were out of jobs who wanted to work but could not find any, but illegal aliens were working for companies that had won contracts to do the clean up from Katrina. Illegal aliens were working and Americans who wanted to work weren’t.

This is putting ordinary Americans in trouble with Credit Bureau’s, the IRS, Banks and virtually every other institution in which an American has to have fiscal transactions. They are costing you more in credit, that you can ill afford because they have already depressed your wages if not having been completely displaced you from employment.

They are also raising your mortgage rates because there is only so much money out there to loan and the laws of supply and demand dictate that with less money to loan being available the rates you pay go up.

Bush 43 is what Bush 41 was...a RINO (Republican In Name Only). They are not interested in really lowering taxes, that is why the Bush 43 tax cut is temporary. He did it to get re-elected, he learned something from dad, if you promise to lower taxes then raise them you get tossed out.

Sign gun control legislation when you are a “Card carrying member of the NRA” and you get tossed out. Everything else has been the give away bonanza from hell, senior drug benefits, war budgets, the Katrina fraud lottery.

I have known people for years that have said if you don’t vote you can’t complain, but if illegal immigration was your issue in the last presidential election exactly whom were you going to vote for? John Kerry who thinks of illegal aliens as voters or George Bush who wants them here because businesses want them here? What about the last congressional election? The Democrats who view them as voters or the Republicans whom have had 6 years to fix the problem and have done nothing?

I am sick of hearing the people taling in clichés and then complaining about some of the things that the illegal problem is making worse. “They are only here to do jobs Americans won’t do.” and later in the conversation complaining about the high cost of housing.

Newsflash, people: Illegal aliens don’t go home at night, they stay here. So after a long hard day of working in the work force at places like Swift and depressing your wages, and driving up your mortgage rates by competing with you for the home loan, they then go home to their house that they are competing with you to either rent or buy, which drives up the cost of the house (in addition to the interest you are paying to borrow the money) and by necessity your rent or mortgage.

The simple fact of the matter is this: one of your countrymen was displaced from the house that illegal alien is living in. Most states have some kind of tax on houses which means higher values in houses which means you pay more in taxes, as well as insurance for the house.

I am tired of hearing about how they are hard workers and they are just here to work honestly. Arizona’s prison population is comprised of 25% illegal aliens. With an average population of 30,000 inmates and an average cost of $20,000 a year, that is approximately 7500 inmates that are illegal aliens multiplied by $20,000 or $15 million dollars a year. Arizona was number 50 in education last year they sure could have used that $15 million to teach the children of all those illegal aliens English.

The Swift case shows one thing as blatant as if a neon sign had been placed above it. There is no such thing as a job that an American won’t do, but you have to pay them a fair wage to do it.

How many Americans are sitting home now because they can’t find a job that will pay them enough to make it worth their while to pay for a babysitter and get something extra out of the deal at the end of the week? After all this is America and we are still ostensibly a Capitalistic country and nobody should get up in the morning to work for free. So what gives here? Why should you go to work to only make what it costs to hire a babysitter?

Then there is the fairness aspect of this. People from around the world apply to come to American and be Americans. They wait 20 years or more in many cases, and pay thousands of dollars in the hope they will make it here. People with a burning desire to not only come to America but to be Americans.

In some cases where the lines are too long to wait they join the military, even in time of war, because they love America. What about them? Good loyal, honest, hard working, would-be Americans are being denied their place in our society because someone is coming here illegally not because they want to be an American but just because they want a job.

To gain an appreciation of how few of these people have a burning desire to be an American one had to be at the rally that they had in Phoenix. La Raza was handing out American flags to all the illegal aliens at the rally and telling them to put away the Mexican flags because they had a similar rally in Los Angeles that had infuriated many American Citizens because the illegal’s were in Los Angeles waiving Mexican flags.

So the rally went on in Phoenix as planned with American flags waving and as the illegal’s left they decided not to litter their new country and promptly threw the American flags in the trash as they left (after all they would never need them again).

There are many politicians who are worried about Hillary Rodham Clinton running for President and that it will be a coronation and not an election. Were I running against Hillary Rodham Clinton I wouldn’t have a worry in the world. I would run an ad saying “What does Hillary think about illegal aliens depressing your wages?" And then put in a cut of her standing in front of a sea of Mexican flags yelling “Si se puede”

How does Hillary feel about illegal aliens coming to America and stealing your identity? “Si se puede.”

“And what about your children getting a worse education as school funds are drained off to teach children of illegal aliens English?” “Si se puede”

And the list goes on and on but you get the idea. Hillary would be down at the border sharing a ride in a Border Patrol dune buggy with Bush 43 the next day.

There is an answer to this but unfortunately nobody has put the common sense solution together with the will to do something. Swift, by hiring illegal aliens, was conspiring to depress wages or was in effect illegally price fixing. Anti trust is still illegal, interfering with contractual relations is illegal (the ability of someone to bargain for their labor).

I imagine there are other civil recourses as well. We could do the American thing and sue the Swift’s of the world out of business.
