Steny Hoyer says we move forward to protect the most productive - DACA. The speaker said yesterday we need to solve the DACA issue permanently.

President says we want a permanent solution. We will do it in steps. We do this then proceed.

In my opinion the snake mentioned in the poem that President Trump read at rallies is him. On illegal immigration and promise to end DACA day one as well his promise to do no amnesty we are getting betrayed.

One person says - We are not going to address everything on your list.

The Republicans always cave under when the Dems threaten a shutdown. They have been refining this tactic for several years.

Senator Grassley is all for DACA amnesty.

DACAs are not Trump's priority. Getting that budget bill for Americans next week and avoiding a government shut-down was the priority today. His goal was to get a clean spending bill, free of anything to do with DACA, next week. That's why he let the press into this meeting to see how much he supports DACA, that he's only asking for the basics to protect our country, he'll sign a bill that does that, whenever Congress gets it to him, so ..... pass the budget bill for the American people, fund our wonderful military. That's what he was doing today.

You'll see. And with that said, I think if he gets everything he wants, he may sign some type of DACA "fix". Whether it will be worth it or not, we'll just have to see. He may not get what he wants and there will be no bill for him to sign. I fully expect the House to kill any amnesty bill.

The problem is that if Dems get a DACA "fix" and we don't get the immigration enforcement provisions that we should have, in the next round the Dems will be less inclined to make the appropriate concessions. They are snakes. The only thing is if Trump can snow them enough to think that a DACA fix is in the future.

He does want to avert the showdown with democrats. A DACA amnesty will not be worth whatever tiny concessions democrats would give. They have had a plan since 1965 and they have been slowly and methodically working it while republicans cower and cave.

I agree that it's not worth it, GeorgiaPeach. To me, there should be no DACA Deal at all. They should all be deported with their children and the parents, cartels and smugglers who brought them here, along with every other illegal alien. Pronto!!

So 800,000 applications...many LIED or do not qualify.

What about the 20 million ILLEGAL parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins?
