THE LONE STAR FUGITIVE TASK FORCE ARRESTS PAUL DON BLOODWORTH

San Antonio – The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF), Del Rio Division , led by the United States Marshals Service with the assistance of the Policia General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE) in the Republic of Mexico arrested Paul Don Bloodworth.

The Arlington Police Department requested the assistance of the United States Marshals Service Dallas/Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW FAST) in apprehending Bloodworth. Bloodworth is wanted by the Arlington Police Department for Attempt Aggravated Assault and by the Grand Prairie Police Department for Aggravated Assault of his estranged wife. Bloodworth assaulted an apartment manager in Arlington by posing as a prospective renter and requesting to see an apartment. Once Bloodworth had the manager alone in the apartment he assaulted her. The manager was able to fight him off and escape.

DFW FAST contacted the LSFTF requesting assistance when information developed that Bloodworth had traveled to Del Rio and crossed over into the Republic of Mexico. LSFTF Del Rio was able to pinpoint the location of Bloodworth at the YMCA in Torreon Coahuila, Mexico. LSFTF Del Rio contacted the Policia General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE) and on June 27, Bloodworth was arrested and detained by the Instituto Nacional de Migracion (INM).

Bloodworth is being held in the Republic of Mexico pending an immigration hearing by INM to determine if he has a legal right in remain in the county.

United States Marshal LaFayette Collins stated “Once again the cooperative effort between the United States Marshals Service and Mexican Law Enforcement agencies demonstrate what can be accomplished when working together to capture violent fugitives”.
