    Lou Dobbs Tonight
    Thursday, November 8, 2007

Lou’s new book INDEPENDENTS DAY is now on sale in bookstores
and on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. In Independents Day,
Lou issues a rallying cry to American citizens eager for a
change, focusing particularly on the critical issues and
    challenges of the 2008 election.

On tonight’s show, the Senate votes by a large margin to
override President Bush’s veto of a $23 billion water projects
bill, following a similar House vote earlier this week. It’s
the first veto override of Bush’s presidency, even as Bush
insists that his relevance isn’t dwindling. Tune in tonight.

Barely a month ago, toy industry leaders unveiled a list of the
top toys for the holiday season. In the wake of the recent
flood of recalls, executives promised that these toys were
definitely safe. Today, one of these highly-touted top
toys—Aquadots—was recalled for disturbing safety risks. We’ll
    have that shocking story tonight.

The Department of Homeland Security has faced numerous lawsuits
from interest groups trying to shut down its immigration
enforcement efforts. But DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff has
pledged to fight every lawsuit, and he’s even launched a few of
his own. We’ll bring you that story.

Republicans are outraged that Democrats earmarked $1 million in
a recent appropriations bill for a new center named for Tom
Daschle at South Dakota State University. The Democrats took
Congress vowing to end pork-barrel spending, but have they kept
their promises? We’ll have that report.

A House Committee recently found that between 30 and 40 percent
of all science and technology jobs are vulnerable to being sent
overseas. Join us for that report.

And Congress considers expanding NAFTA to include a trade
agreement with Peru. This comes as the United States continues
to lose thousands of middle class jobs to these so-called free
agreements. We'll be joined by a strong supporter of the
agreement, the powerful chairman of the House Ways and Means
    Committee, Rep. Charlie Rangel.

Lou’s latest commentary on why he believes the person elected a
year from now will be an Independent populist, a man or woman
who understands the genius of this country lies in the hearts
and minds of its people and not in the prerogatives and power
    of its elites.

Lou Dobbs just said that over 40% of jobs in America could be outsourced.

    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
