Lou Dobbs Tonight
Thursday, September 11, 2008

It’s day four of Lou Dobbs’s Independent Convention. All this
week, we’re focusing on the issues ignored by the major party
candidates—the issues that matter to ordinary Americans.
Tonight, we’ll be broadcasting live from Washington, DC,
marking the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and
talking about our nation’s broken foreign policy.

Here are some of the stories we’ll be reporting on.

* The tectonic plates of geopolitical power have been shifting
during this campaign year. The new administration will have a
new set of challenges in addition to the latent problems that
have not been solved during the Bush administration. Russia has
emerged as a new aggressor. China continues to cultivate
alliances with rogue regimes. On the terrorism front, Pakistan
has turned into a new haven for insurgents and Afghanistan in
facing renewed turmoil. Latin America has fallen under the sway
of leftist strongman Hugo Chavez. We’ll take a look at the host
of foreign policy challenges the next president will face.

* How do U.S. relations with other countries – after eight
years of Bush Administration incompetence – threaten our
economic security? We’ll have an in-depth report.

Lou’s nationally-syndicated talk radio show, The Lou Dobbs
Show, debuted this spring. Join us weekdays from 3-6 p.m.
Eastern for a look at news and politics aimed at independent
thinkers. Visit LouDobbsRadio.com to check your local listings

Today, the nation is less than eight weeks away from electing a
new president—and the sad debate that’s currently raging on the
campaign trail centers on pigs and lipstick instead of the
issues that really matter. It’s also the seventh anniversary of
the 9/11 attacks and Peter Gadiel, founder of 9/11 Families for
a Secure America, will join the program to share his thoughts.
Rep. Ted Poe of Texas will weigh in on the immigration issues
that are currently affecting the nation as well as his home
state. And Mr. Independent will be taking your calls to discuss
the issues that matter most to you. Call 877-55 DOBBS.
