Lou Dobbs Tonight

Tonight, the U.S. death toll in Iraq has fallen to the lowest
level in eight months. Is this proof that the so-called surge
is working? We’ll have the latest on that story tonight.

The House Subcommittee on Foreign Affairs held a hearing today
in the case of imprisoned former Border Patrol agents Ramos and
Compean. U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton refused to testify in this
hearing after being toughly questioned at a Senate hearing for
his role in this controversial prosecution earlier this month.
We’ll report live from the nation’s capital on this miscarriage
of justice.

In addition to our full coverage on the hearings, Lou will also
be joined in Washington by Congressmen Dana Rohrabacher of
California, Walter Jones of North Carolina and Professor George
Grayson.

Red Storm Rising: China is celebrating the 80th anniversary of
its military with new uniforms, weapons tests, joint exercises
with Russia and lavish exhibitions, providing a rare look into
a rapidly growing military power that is typically shrouded in
secrecy. We’ll have a special report on this show of force, at
a time when China’s neighbors, the United States and the
European Union are voicing concerns about its military goals
and transparency.

coming into the United States. We’ll bring you a full report on
proposed legislation that would make you safer.
