Two LSU researchers have published a study they said shows that Latino immigration and U.S. immigration policies have displaced blacks from low-skill labor markets, which in turn led to more violence in urban black communities.

The study by LSU Sociology Professor Edward Shihadeh and Ph.D. candidate Raymond Barranco, titled “Latino Employment and Black Violence: The Unintended Consequence of U.S. Immigration Policy,â€

Before the U.S./Mexico border was militarized, Latino immigration was a two-way trip, the press release said. Immigrants, mainly from Central America, moved to the United States temporarily to finance a project in their home country. But in response to U.S. public pressure, border security was greatly intensified. As a result, Latino immigrants in the United States stopped returning home for fear that they could not repeat the trip.

Why not just come out and say it!!! The immigrants you're talking about are illegal aliens.

First you tell us the problem is with illegal immigration and then you have the audacity to turn around and say, "We do not advocate restricting the flow of Latino migrants in either direction." How ludicrous is this - you tell us that your research has found a problem that is caused by illegal immigration and then say you support the causation of the problem (open borders).

Professor Shihadeh and Barranco must think we're fools. Yes, Mr. Shihadeh and Barranco, we do have a brain and can read between the lines. Please, next time only reveal the findings of your research and keep your biased opinions to yourself.

Sorry but whole families coming doesn't seem to me to be a plan for temporary financial gain. Neither does having children born while here in the USA.

They jump the fence and send all their money home.
