    LULAC Callingfor Dream Act action

    SENATE DREAM ACT VOTE LOOMS

LULAC Urges its Members to Call Their Senators Now!

Washington, DC--- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has committed to a Senate Floor vote for the DREAM Act before November 16th, 2007. A vote is expected as early as Wednesday of this week.

Each year 65,000 promising high school students are denied access to higher education. Without legal status, the doors for future successes are immediately closed, despite having lived the majority of their life in the United States, learned English, volunteered in their communities, and successfully graduated from high school.

The passage of the DREAM Act would grant students that have been in the country for at least five years the ability to continue their professional careers through higher education. Upon graduating from high school, these students would have the opportunity to apply for legal permanent residency if they demonstrated good moral character, completed two years of a four year degree, or graduated from community college, or served two years in the U.S Military.

DREAM Act eligible students can contribute to our national economy and safety. Their contributions are not only personally beneficial, but their future successes will stimulate growth in our economy and their years of military service will help safeguard us from abroad.

But time is running out! LULAC strongly urges an immediate passage. Urge your senators to move this legislation forward by championing the passage of the DREAM Act. Contact your senators now!

The League of the United Latin American Citizens, the oldest and largest Hispanic membership organization in the country, advances the economic conditions, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs operating at more than 700 LULAC councils nationwide.

They would wind up with 30 year old illegals with a 3rd grade education getting in on this because of fraud.

This is about amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens. It is about illegal aliens using children to have a pathway to citizenship and to violate our laws and demand more freebies.

No background checks, no finger printing, criminals, gang members and others having access to citizenship.

    NO to the Dream Act.

    Psalm 91
    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
