CBP in Atlanta Affects Arrest of Foreign Official Wanted for Armed Robbery
(Wednesday, October 13, 2010)
Atlanta — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport affected the arrest of a Royal Saudi Air Force captain wanted in Mississippi for robbery with use of a deadly weapon, officials announced today.
CBP officers were notified by CBP’s National Targeting Center that Eid Sulaiman Albalawi was attempting exit from the U.S. via JFK through Atlanta. Albalawi entered the U.S. as a foreign government official on business in early October.
After Albalawi was identified and the warrant for him confirmed by CBP, he was arrested by the Atlanta Police Department.
“This latest arrest took place due to the coordinated efforts and shared information between multiple agencies to enable immediate action to apprehend the suspect,â€NO AMNESTY
