The Mayor of Leon, Guanajuato, Richard Sheffield, has announced the dismantling of their auxiliary police force numbering 190 officers due to the danger. Early Saturday morning, gunmen chased and killed an unarmed 49 year old auxiliary officer, and wounded his partner. The auxiliary force was created 15 years ago mainly to monitor shops, banks, industries , offices and residential areas. They have always worked unarmed. Four women and a child, waiting in front of a neighborhood clinic were gunned down Monday at about 2:30 pm, killing two of the women. No other information has been released.-Diario

Thirty six police officers total from the municipalities of Zuazua and Pesqueria have been arrested on warrants for their participation in the abduction and murder of two bodyguards for the Nuevo León state governor on June 15th. The bodyguards bodies were thrown in the street.

The Mexican military located a narco laboratory in the municipality of Ursula Galvan, Veracruz. One person was arrested. In all, authorities seized 200 liters of methamphetamine in solution, one ton 240 kilos of methamphetamine, 5,600 liters of ethanol, 4,000 liters of methylamine, 200 thousand liters of acetic anhydride, a thousand 410 liters of acetone, 825 kilos hydroxide sodium, 132 kilos of sodium acetate, 600 thousand liters of hydrochloric acid, 248 kilos of aluminum, 100 kilos of lead, 625 thousand kilos of tartaric acid, 15 metal containers of different sizes, 6 steel furnaces, 7 dryers, 3 steel mixers and a digital scale.-laPoliciaca.com

MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN

Shortly before 7 pm Monday evening, there was an attack against the officer bodyguards of the state governor, Rodrigo Medina. Authorities have not released any information, but a close source confirmed at least one person died.



SABINAS HIDALGO, NUEVO LEÓN**

Two Federal Police officers were assassinated by gunmen in four trucks. A physician accompanying a nearby funeral procession was wounded.

MATAMOROS, TAMAULIPAS

During a five hour shootout Saturday, a well known priest who hosted a popular local TV show was killed by a bullet to the chest. Further details regarding the killed or injured during the violence has not yet been released.


ESCOBEDO, NUEVO LEÓN

At least two gunmen were killed during a shootout between the military and cartel gunmen.
