Thread: Maid seems safe from deportation for now

This story will certainly discourage me from hiring ANY Hispanic to work in my home. You never know if they're presenting fake documents or if they're here legally. Better to hire known American citizens and avoid the possibility of being stuck in this situation.

I read somewhere that Diaz worked for the Whitmans for 9 years and they paid her $23 an hour. They paid the required taxes using the social security number that she gave them.

Who got credit for the taxes paid? Did she file fraudulent tax returns also? Did she received unearned income credit? I think she has two jackpot kids, is she married and using a different name from her husband is her husband, if married, legal? I think that there are several issues other than deportaion on the table.

Ditto! I would like to see her indicted and tried on some of the serious felonies she has committed, and after serving her prison sentence, deported.
