TSA Clears Illegal Immigrants To Work At NY Airport

In the latest of many shameful lapses, the federal agency in charge of securing the nation’s transportation system approved background checks for a dozen illegal immigrants working in sensitive areas of a busy U.S. airport.

The illegal aliens, from Central America and Mexico, worked in operational areas of Stewart International Airport, a 2,400-acre facility located about 60 miles north of New York City. Stewart is a major passenger airport for the state’s mid-Hudson region that also handles large quantities of cargo and serves as a military field.

The illegal aliens all had security badges approved by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the agency created after the 2001 terrorist attacks mainly to protect airlines. The TSA’s national background check failed to detect the fake Social Security numbers and other bogus documents provided by the illegal immigrants to obtain clearance.

So the embattled 43,000-member Homeland Security agency, which has received hundreds of millions of dollars from Congress to fulfill its mission, granted the undocumented aliens “trusted agentâ€

Our security is certainly at risk with so many illegal aliens and others working at airports that have little interest in protecting the America people. Our baggage is at risk too of being compromised, stolen, etc. when you have criminals and those with stolen or fake social security numbers working and screening our bags. Then there is the terrorism issue.

Moving from Other Topics to News since it relates to illegal immigation.

Maybe I had better rethink flying to Vegas for 5 days How pathetic America has become, we just can't seem to get anything right anymore or just plan don't care, so many incopentent people!

After I heard the Flyers Rights group spokes person on FOX talking about the amount of stolen items and lost luggage that is alleged to be taken by TSA employees ( some video surveillance involved), and after opening luggage that has been riffled through by so called inspectors, it gives credence to the representative that you have two luggage options more and more - carry on and lost. She said that you must watch your carry on, or it will fall into the missing category. Some small planes ask you to give them the carry on since it cannot stow above or below your feet and it ends up on a dolly outside somewhere.

Again, I would not think that our luggage or its contents are their concern.
