Man arrested in death of Colorado man extradited

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - A man arrested in connection to the death of 25-year-old Nathaniel Tallman was extradited from San Diego Friday.

Moises Mendez, 26, had been arrested on first-degree murder charges by the U.S. Border Patrol. He was in a San Diego jail on $1 million bond.

Tallman was reported missing in January. His body was discovered just north of Lusk, Wyo. March 13. The autopsy showed Tallman died from a gunshot wound in a drug-related exchange.

Police say Mendez will be held in Boulder County jail on $1 million bond.
A second man, Russell Britton, had also been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder. Britton, 58, is being held in Boulder County jail without bond.

Mendez will make his first court appearance March 24.
